Borehole Acoustic Televiewer Now Available

In order to aid mining companies in utilizing exploration drill holes to their full potential, MIRARCO has introduced a borehole acoustic televiewer to the market. MIRARCO owns a FAC-40 acoustic televiewer, which is available for reservation. The borehole televiewer provides a means of gathering important information from exploration boreholes without the need for expensive oriented core drilling.

MIRARCO Adds New Dimensions to Long Term Mine Planning

MIRARCO's Centre for Mining Technology is developing a 5D Mining Exploratorium Program (5D-EX) within the Virtual Reality Laboratory for mine plan audits. The program incorporates 3D spatial information with time and financial data, which together creates the 5D experience.

The utilization of Mine2-4D and other in-house software applications, Drifts@Risk and Stopes@Risk, to incorporate geotechnical considerations, makes MIRARCO's 5D-EX an ideal tool for solving complex long-term mine-planning issues.

For more information on how the 5D Mining Exploratorium can help you, please view the full story at www.mirarco.org.
