Funding at MIRARCO and L.U.
Through various scholarship opportunities
and MIRARCO funding, students are rewarded with very competitive
funding for their Graduate studies. Funding for research is often
offered to the most qualified students, leading to research stipends
of up to $20,000.

- Graduate Teaching Assistantship, requiring 12 hours / week
of teaching assistance at Laurentian University ($6,750)
- GRC Scholarship,
allowing you to focus on your thesis project ($5,000 - 6,000)
- Summer research scholarship $2,000 (one time only)
- Student NSERC
awards (applicable to the university of your choice) ($17,500)
- MIRARCO NSERC-matching grants (up to $17, 500)
- Industry Awards (various amounts)
- Aboriginal Awards Programs (various amounts)

GRC Scholarship
1995 Barrick Gold Corporation and ISS International made special
sponsors' contributions to GRC. With these donations, GRC established
a scholarship fund to attract graduate students to GRC's research
team. Over the last nine years, GRC has had Master's and Ph.D.
students from a number of countries, including Canada, Brazil,
Ethiopia, Ghana, Germany, Great Britain, India, Iran, P.R. China,
Tunisia, and Turkey.
