Greg Wang obtained a B.Sc. in computational mechanics at Jinlin University, and a M.Sc. in computational fluid dynamics at Chinese Academy of Science. He started his career at the Institute of Water Resources, Ministry of Water Resources China, working on numerical modelling in surface water, groundwater flow, contaminant transport, and water resources management. Through this work, he gained a broad spectrum of experience in environmental fluid dynamics, mathematical algorithm design and programming.
Greg joined MIRARCO's Centre for Environmental Monitoring in 2003, and is focusing on:
· Near-ground wind flow dynamic modelling for wind farm assessment
· Lake circulation, contaminant degradation, reaction and transport
modelling
· Groundwater flow and contaminant transport modelling in soil,
aquifers and fractured rocks
· Modelling dynamic circulation behaviours of water and chemicals
in surface water, soil and aquifers
